Looking Back...

Hey there! As I come to an end on my portfolio project, I’ve wanted to reflect on some of the struggles we faced throughout this project.

One of our main issues was trying to find a main actor for our film opening. We tried asking numerous people, however we wanted to film over spring break, so many people already had plans of traveling. As we got closer to our production date, we settled on using Gabe as our main actor, and honestly, I’m glad we did! Gabe was a good actor and it worked out well since he was already in our group, so we didn’t have to worry about our schedules conflicting for filming dates.

Another one of our main concerns was the amount of time we had. Most of my group was going to be out of town for spring break due to school trips so we lost our main week of filming, however, we managed to film our entire filming opening within 2 days over the weekend. We started one day and got all of the garage shots and then the next day we got everything from the bedroom scene and kitchen scene. We were worried we wouldn’t have enough to fill the two minutes, but when we went to edit, we noticed that we were actually over time so we had to end up cutting some parts out of our film opening.

Overall, we faced some issues while creating our film opening, however, my group worked well together and managed to get everything completed on time. I’m really proud of my group and the work we accomplished! Stay tuned for my final film opening and my creative critical reflection!
